Is there anyway to stop non administrators from creating a topic? This feature will soon be addressed in one of our near versions. You will be able to choose whether to allow anonymous users to view or create content within your site. In the future, you will also be able to select specific users and give them specific permissions (such as creating a topic).

A way to have comments already open Currently it is not possible to do that with ForumIt. However, you can try our comment box widget - DiscussIt - which we use in this questions-and-answers area. Posts are not laid out, but have a preview of their content which allows you to focus on the interesting posts first. The implementation is straight forward - just replace ForumIt code lines with DiscussIt code lines. The content that have been created on that page will be saved.

ads Hello Oksana, The Pro edition comes without the AdSense banner as well as without the rotating bottom Pnyxe banner. However, the text above the post creation panel remains. Please email us at pnyxe-info@pnyxe.com with the name of your website, and we can provide a convenient price for a "white label" feature (around 10-20% - depending on the estimated website traffic and the edition chosen). Also, the emails continue to arrive from pnyxe-info@pnyxe.com. Please note that they have a positive crucial effect on YOUR website traffic, since the links inside the emails are always directing users to YOUR website and not to Pnyxe (except for the single email verification process email). worried about spam Hello Peter, You're concern is clear. In future releases, we plan to implement an automatic industry standard spam filtering integrated with our "inappropriate reports" mechanism. Until then, you have the pre-moderation, inappropriate reports, admin removal directly from the page or from the "watch" emails, as well as other small features to help avoid and handle spam. What is the website this is relevant for? Amit

Number of comments per page Hello Rick, Currently, in DiscussIt, the number of discussions (trees of posts) per page is 30, after which a "Show more" will appear below. We will allow a configuration for this number in future release, so stay tuned for this and more. In order to review the posts, you can use the "Posts Moderation " section of the admin panel. Amit

Number of comments per page Is it possible to restrict the number of comments to a certain number (say 10) per page and then add a next page or page number link for reviewing the comments after that, similar to what we have in Youtube. Right now, all the comments on a page are listed in one page and I need to scroll down to review the comments. Is there a way to avoid that?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Will Google index the comments and the forum? The service we provide enables Google to read all posts as part of the pages of your own website. Google is not aware that the content of the posts is generated by Pnyxe. Pnyxe's website is (naturally) indexed by Google as an independent website, with no correlation to our customers' websites.
